Withdrawal of Manuscript

Withdrawal of submitted or published manuscripts is generally not permitted, except under compelling circumstances. This policy is in place to prevent the waste of valuable resources, including the time and effort invested by editors, reviewers, and the publisher in processing manuscripts.

Procedure for Withdrawal Request:

If the author(s) still wish to withdraw a manuscript after submission or acceptance, they must follow these steps:

  1. Complete the Article Withdrawal Form, ensuring that it is signed by all authors. The form must clearly state the reason(s) for the withdrawal request.
  2. Submit the completed form to the editorial office via email at [email protected].
  3. Await a formal notification from the editorial office regarding the approval or rejection of the withdrawal request. The manuscript is not considered withdrawn until a written confirmation is received from the editorial office.

Important Notes:
  • A withdrawal fee of IDR 1,000,000 (USD 75) will be applied if the withdrawal request is approved after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. This fee is intended to cover the editorial and processing costs already incurred.
  • It is considered unethical to withdraw a submitted or published manuscript from one journal for the purpose of submitting it to another journal. Authors found to be engaging in such practices may face a publication ban in JIIRE.
