Publication Fees

Journal of Instruction and Islamic Religious Education (JIIRE) implements a publication fee referred to as the Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 4,500,000 (Indonesian Rupiah) for Indonesian authors and USD 350 for international authors. This fee applied only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication.

There will be no charge for submission or initial review, nor does it impose additional editorial processing. The APC covers all editorial processing activities, including figures, colour images, and page charges, ensuring that authors do not incur any further costs during the publication process.

Note: Any translation or proofreading costs are paid by the author(s). Translation and proofreading services are provided by external parties.

Waiver and Discount

JIIRE offers a limited number of waivers and discounts for authors from low-income countries or in cases of financial hardship. Authors who wish to apply for a waiver must submit a written request to [email protected] along with supporting documents before the article is accepted for publication.

- Supporting Documents:

The following documents are required to apply for a waiver:

  • A letter of request stating the reasons for the waiver, including the author's financial situation or affiliation with a low-income institution or country.
  • Proof of institutional affiliation (e.g., letter from the university, employment contract).
  • Any additional documents that support the claim of financial hardship or limited funding.
- Application Process:

The waiver request will be reviewed by the editorial board, and the decision will be communicated to the author within 7 working days. Please note that the waiver decision is final and cannot be appealed.

Withdrawal Fees

If the author(s) request to withdraw an article after it has been accepted for publication, a withdrawal fee of IDR 1,000,000 (USD 75) will be applied to cover editorial and processing costs already incurred. This fee is intended to compensate for the resources and time invested in the review and editorial process.

For more information about the withdrawal policy and the detailed procedure, please refer to the Withdrawal of Manuscript Policies page.
