Aims and Scope

The Journal of Instruction and Islamic Religious Education (JIIRE) is an international, peer-reviewed, and open-access academic journal dedicated to advancing research, theory, and practice in Islamic religious education. It aims to bridge pedagogical innovation, curriculum development, and educational technology within the diverse contexts of Islamic instruction across the globe.

JIIRE publishes original research articles, conceptual analyses, and critical reviews that explore intersections between Islamic values and contemporary educational methodologies. The journal particularly welcomes studies addressing teacher professionalism, learning design, educational psychology, moral and spiritual education, assessment systems, and policy innovations in Islamic education at the primary, secondary, and higher education levels.

With a multidisciplinary and international perspective, JIIRE encourages contributions from scholars, educators, and policymakers worldwide to promote evidence-based practices and intercultural dialogue in Islamic education.
